According to the news of the US media, Montgomery’s lawyers were caught in the coronavirus. They needed time to get better and relax the sentence, so the district court postponed the execution on December 8 to January 12.
Ankca The US Federal Court of Appeals ruled that the district court’s postponement of the execution was wrong. Montgomery is expected to be executed in the coming days.

Lisa Marie Montgomery killed an 8-month-old pregnant woman named Bobbie Jo Stinnett by strangling her back in 2004, and then cut her belly baby out of the womb.
Tried in federal court, Montgomery was found guilty by jury in 2007 and sentenced to death by the federal judge. In 2012, the US Supreme Court rejected Montgomery’s appeal.
Montgomery is planned to be executed with a fatal injection.
